Laura House

Here's our house in Laura. Most of the houses here are brightly-colored, it's great. The squiggly pattern is common too, not sure what it's for. That tree is a papaya tree- we can't wait until they're ripe!

Here's the inside: our kitchen. In the foreground you can see the futon. To the right is our dining room.

Here's my room, which contains the only bed in the house. Thankfully it's big, so Heather and I can share. Neither of us have double size sheets, though, so we just curl up in single sheets on either side of the bed. With the AC, it's even cold enough for blankets. On my dresser you can see the handicraft basket I won in the raffle at Bonnie's party. So cool!

And here's the basketball court near our house. It's lit up at night, and almost every night there are people playing basketball and volleyball here. Yes, at the same time- they set up a volleyball net in the middle of the court, and then a game of bball goes on at each hoop. Amidst it all, a group of little kids zooms around on these wiggly two-wheeled skateboards with light-up wheels, careening through the games and generally being very entertaining.
